How to Apply for Assistance

Step 1 – Start with Wyoming 211

  • Call Wyoming 211, a statewide referral service that connects residents with disability support programs, financial aid, and healthcare resources.

Step 2 – Explore Federal Programs

  • SSDI/SSI (Social Security Administration): Provides monthly benefits to individuals with disabilities and limited income. Apply online through the SSA website.

Step 3 – Investigate State Programs

  • Wyoming Medicaid: Offers healthcare coverage, including home health nursing and therapies. Learn more at Wyoming Department of Health.
  • Developmental Disabilities Waiver Programs: Provide long-term support for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Applications are managed by the Wyoming Department of Health’s Developmental Disabilities Division.
  • SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program): Supports food costs for eligible individuals. Apply through the Wyoming Department of Family Services.
