Caretech Hosts Interactive Virtual Dementia Training
Caretech, in collaboration with AseraCare Hospice, recently conducted an Interactive/Virtual Dementia Training for the staff at Douglas County Health Center. The training was designed to provide a deeper understanding of dementia and its effects, offering participants valuable insights into the daily challenges faced by individuals living with the condition.
Through hands-on exercises, attendees experienced the difficulties of completing simple tasks while dealing with impaired vision, hearing loss, decreased sensation, pain, and memory impairment. This immersive approach allowed staff members to better empathize with dementia patients and improve the quality of care they provide.
