At Caretech, our commitment to providing exceptional care to seniors is embodied in the passionate leaders who join our team. We’re excited to introduce Stacey Hallberg, our new Director of Sales & Partnerships, a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in senior care. In this interview, we explore Stacey’s background, her vision for the role, and the future of senior home care at Caretech.
A Journey Rooted in Passion for Senior Care
When asked about her journey into senior care, Stacey Hallberg shares an impressive career that spans two decades. Starting as a nurse in a skilled nursing facility and post-acute rehabilitation, Stacey quickly found her calling in caring for seniors.
“There is no greater feeling than giving back to a generation that has contributed so much to the world,” Stacey shared. This passion led her to a role as a Nurse Liaison, working closely with hospital partners, physicians, and insurance companies to coordinate care and ensure residents’ needs were met. Her dedication didn’t stop there – she trained and mentored Nurse Liaisons nationwide, advocating for seniors and families in uncertain times.
After working with organizations like A Place for Mom and helping a struggling skilled nursing facility reach full occupancy, Stacey discovered Caretech. The company’s mission, vision, and commitment to Nebraska’s seniors resonated deeply, sparking her desire to lead the charge in expanding Caretech’s reach.
Excitement for the Role and Impact on Families
Taking on the role of Director of Sales & Partnerships at Caretech brings new challenges and opportunities to help families navigate the complex world of senior care. Having cared for her own grandmother, Stacey knows firsthand the emotional toll of balancing work, family, and caregiving.
“Helping families struggling to care for their loved ones is what ignites me,” she said. “We educate families on the resources available and collaborate with professionals to ensure our clients’ needs are met.” Building relationships and partnerships in the community plays a key role in Caretech’s mission, and Stacey is excited to be part of a dedicated team working together to provide the best possible care.
Future Goals for Caretech and the Community
Caretech has earned its reputation as one of Nebraska’s largest home care agencies, but there’s always room to grow. As Caretech’s new leader in Sales & Partnerships, Stacey’s vision is to expand Caretech’s reach and continue serving seniors with the highest quality of care. “We believe all seniors deserve the best care, and our goal is to grow and adapt to the ever-changing needs of the industry,” she explained.
Part of this growth includes ensuring seniors and families are aware of the services available to them, regardless of financial limitations. Caretech is committed to making care accessible, even for low-income seniors, through strategic partnerships and a dedication to serving everyone who needs care.
Overcoming Challenges in the Senior Home Care Industry
One of the biggest challenges in senior care today is the lack of awareness surrounding available services and resources. Many seniors and their families miss out on vital care because they don’t know what’s out there. “At Caretech, we’re building strategic partnerships to ensure that no one goes without care,” Stacey explained. “We find solutions to meet the needs of every senior, regardless of their financial situation.”
Caretech’s commitment to this mission is unwavering, and the team is continuously working to position itself as a trusted resource in the community, offering guidance, support, and care wherever seniors call home.
Lessons Learned from a Career in Senior Care
Having worked in various settings – from for-profit to non-profit, ministry to sole proprietorship – Stacey Hallberg brings a wealth of experience to Caretech. One common thread throughout her career is a passion for serving underserved populations, particularly low-income seniors. This experience aligns perfectly with Caretech’s focus on clients with Medicaid, as well as its commitment to helping veterans through VA benefits.
“Caretech’s dedication to providing care for everyone was a huge factor in my decision to join the company,” she said. “No one is left behind, and that’s incredibly important to me.”
Standing Out in the Senior Care Industry
Caretech differentiates itself from other senior care providers in several ways. For one, its strong focus on serving low-income seniors and veterans through Medicaid Waiver and VA benefits sets it apart. But Caretech doesn’t stop there – the company offers a Friends and Family Caregiver Program, allowing families to earn income while caring for their loved ones.
“We’re not just a home care provider – we’re a partner in every step of the journey,” Stacey emphasized.
A Rewarding Career in Senior Care
For Stacey, the most rewarding aspect of working in senior care is seeing the joy and relief that Caretech brings to seniors and their families. Whether it’s the little things that brighten a client’s day or the peace of mind families feel knowing their loved ones are well-cared for, every moment is a reminder of why she does what she does.
“Any time we can bring joy to a senior or relief to a family, I know I’ve done my job,” she said with a smile.
A Message for Families Considering Caretech
To families considering Caretech for their loved ones, Stacey Hallberg offers this message: “Caretech is second to none. We care deeply about what we do, and we treat every client as though they are part of our own family. You can have peace of mind knowing that your loved one is receiving the highest quality of care.”
